The look and layout of the house hasn’t changed much since this concept art was created during early development. We took a lot of care into creating a high quality scene.
During early development, however, this was going to be a doctor’s house, and not a doll house. Donna was going to be the village’s doctor and Angie the doll never existed.
We also considered giving Donna an incredibly dark past and have her family throw themselves off the waterfall.
