Two Laura posts are out, and I’m sorry to report that they contain almost no new footage, as you can see in the Meet Laura Instagram post, we only get the shot in the prologue where she has mud all over her face after the chase and is seen smiling at Max as she runs through the woods, no footage we haven’t seen before, not even subliminal clips –. She’s running through the woods with Eliza darting behind her, and even this shot, which I didn’t immediately recognize as the moment when the ferret turns off the radio in her car, leaves us with only one image to analyze the aftermath, a face shot that has to say Laura looks terrible, and it’s not a bad night like the other characters, and we can assume based on the events of the prologue that she’s had a bad month, or at least that someone questioned whether her head was partially shaved off but as you can see from this photo, the heroine just has a high forehead so that’s how she looks Her hair is pulled under the baseball cap and I’m more interested in these shiny areas on her neck and head and the rough skin underneath them, which makes me suspect that when she reappears in the game we’ve seen her suffer a lot of injuries in the interview, note She’s wearing a jacket Note in the interview that she’s wearing a jacket in the after shots, making her one of the few horror characters who wears more as the game progresses.
In addition, they only show shots of her in the prologue, suggesting that we won’t see Lara Croft in the main timeline until after we get into the story, except for the shotgun and monster confrontation filled launch trailer.
With very little footage of the monster confrontation in the promotional articles, we have a lot of daytime footage in the first few hours into the game, and it’s worth noting that this game probably has the most daytime scenes in any mega-game interactive movie, perhaps more than any mega-game.
If you don’t count the Bravo team, half of this game is in daylight, but its brevity means we’re really just talking about an hour and a bit of light nighttime stuff, and in these character essays there seems to be just a few sparse shots of them running around with shotguns and getting spooked by the sound.
This is a good choice for me, and while I love doing theoretical articles and analyzing footage, I have 100 percent confidence that they are keeping this game as secret as possible, and I want to be as surprised as possible the first time I play this game, though I’m doing my best to make sure that doesn’t happen. If you haven’t read it yet, please remember to like and follow, and special thanks to my patrons Marissa Eduardo Brian and Joanne, you can always find me on my live stream on Tuesdays at 9pm EST and weekends at noon, and we’ll see more super game content here, but until then, Aurevoir
