Hey guys, it’s Mike, it’s your weekly Xbox news and it’s a big week for Xbox Game Studios on Unreal Engine 5. The Alliance showed off a tech demo called The Cave and it looked gorgeous, the test was to demonstrate how movie-like assets could be used in an article game, the details were amazing, the demo ran on an early access version of Unreal Engine 5 using Xbox Series X hardware, the Alliance is working on a small game to start using Unreal Engine 5 before moving to Gears 6.
Monkey Island fans have a good news, that a sequel has been announced, called Monkey Island Returns, which is being developed by Ron Gilbert and devolver digital and Toybox.
we don’t know much about the game yet, but we do have a release date of 2022, and a neat little trailer alongside the release that will give players an idea of the new title’s art style.
In this game you will choose between five different classes to use and upgrade your abilities, however the world and enemies are unpredictable, giving you a new experience every time you play, now this is a roguelike game so whenever you die you will lose your abilities and the world and monsters will reset, spawning these random monsters and worlds.
We get to see new maps and new armor that you can get in this season’s Battle Pass, and there will be some narrative elements as well.
