Mercenaries was introduced by Capcom in 1999’s Resident Evil 3, and since then, it has grown to become a fan favorite mode, with several new iterations appearing in subsequent releases over the years, including Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6. Fans have been begging for it to come back for a long time, especially after it wasn’t in last year’s re3 remake, and finally Capcom listened and Resident Evil Village will have a Mercenaries mode.
Resident Evil Village’s take on mercenaries will add several new elements to the mix. Players will move from area to area as you take on hordes of enemies from gameplay and time attack scenarios, that will be familiar enough to anyone who has played this mode before. However new this time are the stores, between each area, you will visit the Duke and using the currency you have earned from previous rounds, you will be able to purchase items and weapons and upgrade your arsenal Also. Each area will have ability that provide various buffs, such as increased long-range damage, increased damage from specific weapons, improved your healing, increased your movement speed, and more.
