Fire Emblem Awakening Chapters List: Story, Endgame, and Paralogues

Official NA titles for Premonition, Prologue, Chapters 1–25, Endgame, and all 23 paralogues, plus who joins and how each map unlocks.

Fire Emblem Awakening's story list is Premonition, Prologue, Chapters 1–25, then Endgame. After that come 23 paralogues. The menu never calls Endgame "Chapter 26," and Premonition is not Chapter 1 — Chapter 1 is Unwelcome Change. This page is the NA English list: official titles, who joins, and why a paralogue is still missing from the world map. Portraits and join details for each unit are on characters.

How the list is numbered

How Fire Emblem Awakening numbers Premonition, Prologue, Chapters 1–25, Endgame, and Paralogues
Premonition is not Chapter 1. Endgame is not Chapter 26. Chapter 23 reuses the Premonition title.
Story labels in the NA release
Menu labelOfficial titleWhat players mix up
PremonitionInvisible TiesA short fight before the Prologue. Same title as Chapter 23.

DLC xenologues at the Outrealm Gate (Apotheosis, Future Past, and the rest) are not numbered chapters. Apotheosis has its own page.

Main story

Victory is Rout unless the table says otherwise. Defeat is Chrom or Robin down, plus the extra loss conditions listed. "Talk" means they start outside your army.

Paralogues

Fire Emblem Awakening paralogue unlocks: story-gated, marriage, and SpotPass
Three locks: a story chapter, a marriage plus a world-map path, or Chapter 25 plus SpotPass.

A paralogue stays on the world map until you clear it. Child maps need the parent at S-rank (married) and a route to that tile. The marriage planner is for the parent pairing; this table is only the unlock.

Easy-to-miss Fire Emblem Awakening recruits: Donnel, Anna, Lucina, Gangrel
Donnel must live and level in Paralogue 1. Gangrel needs three talks. Lucina is Chapter 13, not a child map.

If a paralogue is missing

  1. Story-gated maps (1–4, 17) appear after the listed chapter. Paralogue 1 opens when you beat the Longfort.
  2. Child maps (5–16) stay hidden until that parent has an S-support. Lucina is the exception: she joins in Chapter 13, not a paralogue.
  3. Even after the marriage, the tile needs a path. Clearing a later story chapter, or opening a neighbour, drops the fog. Owain's map is the usual example: Chapter 14, or Paralogues 9 and 10 already open.
  4. Paralogues 18–23 need Chapter 25 and the SpotPass data. On a NA cartridge that already pulled them, they sit on the map after Chapter 25.

Donnel, Gangrel, and Walhart can appear on the map and still fail to join if you skip their extra rule. Classes and skills for anyone you just recruited are on classes and skills.
