Before you open a hint

Each point changes two neighboring string crossings. Use Restart before following a fixed sequence; tapping an extra point changes all subsequent steps.

Hints, one at a time

These are the game's own hints, word for word from the North American version and in the same order. Open only the next one you need. In the game, Hints 1 to 3 cost one hint coin each and the Super Hint costs two.

Hint 1

There are five strings this time, so the puzzle is more complicated. Proceed with caution and try not to tangle up the strings even more.

It's best to start by untangling the string on the far right.

Hint 2

Touch the orange point in the bottom-right corner followed by the one just above it. Then the string on the far right will be out of the way.

Next, try to untangle the string on the far left.

Hint 3

After the second hint, the string on the far right should be untangled.

Next, touch the orange point second from the left on the bottom row followed by the point furthest to the left on the row above that.

This will untangle the string on the far left.

Super Hint

Once you've untangled the strings on the far left and right, touch the orange point second from the left and second from the top. Then touch the point directly below that.

Next, touch the orange point second from the right and second from the top. This will untangle the second string from the right. The rest is up to you!

Answer and full solution

The answer and the worked explanation are hidden below. Open them when you are ready.

Show the answer

From Restart, tap these six orange points in order. Number the four rows of orange points from top to bottom, and the four points in each row from left to right.

  1. Row 4, point 4.
  2. Row 3, point 4.
  3. Row 2, point 2.
  4. Row 3, point 2.
  5. Row 3, point 1.
  6. Row 2, point 3.

The first two taps straighten the rightmost string. The next two rearrange the central crossings, and the last two finish the remaining pair. If your strings differ from the final picture, restart and check that you numbered the orange points rather than the strings.
